Neuro Rehabilitation | Residential Program | Brewer & Rockland, Maine

Looking for an RN opportunity that offers flexibility while allowing you to make a meaningful impact without a traditional bedside schedule?

Join our Neuro Rehabilitation Residential team in a unique PRN nursing oversight role supporting individuals living with brain injuries, neurological conditions, and other complex needs in our home-like residential settings.

This position is ideal for an experienced RN looking to supplement their current schedule or stay connected to patient care in a flexible capacity.

What You'll Do

As our PRN Registered Nurse, you'll provide clinical nursing oversight and serve as a trusted resource for our residential teams. Responsibilities may include:

  • Completing monthly and quarterly medication reviews and nursing oversight
  • Reviewing medication records and helping ensure appropriate medication management practices
  • Providing nursing guidance and answering clinical or medical questions from residential staff
  • Completing PRN visits when medical concerns or changes in condition arise
  • Collaborating with program leadership, direct care staff, providers, and other members of the care team
  • Helping identify health concerns and determine when additional medical evaluation or follow-up may be needed
  • Supporting staff education and reinforcing safe clinical practices
  • Maintaining required nursing documentation and regulatory standards

What Makes This Role Different

This is not a traditional full-time bedside nursing position. The role is designed primarily around clinical oversight, medication review, consultation, and as-needed nursing support for our residential programs.

You'll have the opportunity to build a flexible PRN schedule while supporting a team dedicated to helping individuals with neurological injuries and diagnoses live as safely and independently as possible.

Location & Travel: This position supports our residential homes in Brewer and Rockland, Maine. Occasional travel between the two program locations will be required based on program and resident needs.

We're Looking for an RN Who:

  • Holds an active Registered Nurse license in Maine
  • Is comfortable working independently and providing clinical guidance to residential staff
  • Has strong assessment, medication management, and communication skills
  • Enjoys a consultative and oversight-focused nursing role
  • Is comfortable traveling occasionally between Brewer and Rockland
  • Has experience with neurological rehabilitation, residential care, behavioral health, long-term care, home health, or individuals with complex medical needs — experience in these areas is a plus

Responsibilities

What you will do: Responsibilities listed include but not limited to:

  • Deliver exceptional patient care, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and compassion
  • Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients
  • Administer medications, treatments, and procedures accurately and efficiently
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and positive outcomes
  • Educate patients and their families on health management and treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with established protocols and regulations

Qualifications

What you will need:

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Holds a bachelor's degree in nursing or related health and human services field from an accredited college or university OR an RN from an accredited two-year program
  • Valid driver's license and insurance required
  • Be able to bend stoop, push, pull, sit, and walk for periods of time
  • Able to utilize proper body mechanics while lifting 50 pounds
